Today seemed like a really long day, but it went by fast.  Is that even possible?  I had my art class for the first time all semester.  I haven’t had some classes due to the snow and MLKJR day and whatnot.  I still haven’t had my Physics lab, but I’m ok with that.
It was basically another school —> work —> bed kind of day.  I took a picture of this Carolina shirt to state a point.  On Friday (the 21st) I am supposed to hear back from UNC Chapel Hill on whether or not I am admitted for the Fall 2011 semester.  I really want to get in!  So all week I am wearing Tar Heel shirts to support them and hopefully the little bit of wishful thinking will help me out.
We will find out on Friday, and I will definitely post it all up on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and all of that good stuff.
Wish me luck!

So basically, today was stressful for no reason, and basically uneventful.
So uneventful, that I took a picture of my Calculus 2 homework.  The only exciting event that occurred all day was that I finished all of my math homework before noon, which basically never happens.  I finished school and then went and worked all night.  I’m covering for a girl all week, so I am getting lots of good hours and money, but that seriously cuts into good photo time.
Not every day can be an exciting photo-filled adventure.
Some days you just do calculus and go to work.

1-17-11 EXTRA

Here is the video of Allie and I dancing to “Move Your Feet” by Junior Senior.  The video is dark, and we had some pretty good bloopers, but my Movie Maker has died, so I can’t do anything about it.  Enjoy what you get.

We had a lot of fun making this, so I hope you enjoy it.

Today went by fast, but I had a lot of fun.  I hope everyone had a great Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  He was a pretty great guy, and he deserves his own day.
Another day to rest wasn’t so bad, and I spent another day with Allie.  We can always find something crazy to do, and our latest craze is Just Dance 2.  (That rhymed!  ^_^ )
I’ve been wanting to make a video of us dancing, since we are so great and all…This is a still from a video we made.  We were dancing to “Move Your Feet” by Junior Senior.  It’s the only dance that we both can get 5 stars on (Although Allie doesn’t in our best take).  I’ll post the entire video here in a second.
After I hung out with Allie, I had to hurry home to babysit my sisters while my mom went to class…but she didn’t have class so she came back home.  I then went to clogging, which is always a blast, and we practiced a good bit.  In our newest dance, we have to do double-doubles.  To those of you who don’t clog, it means nothing, but it’s basically a crazy fast move that makes you flail your feet around like a crazy person.  When they’re done correctly, they look really awesome, but if you mess them up you look like a fool.  It is a hurdle that every clogger comes to at some point, and I’ve been avoiding it for quite some time now.  I have an official reason to learn them, no more hiding from the double-doubles!  Wish me luck.  I’ll need it.

This is a picture of Allie and Gracie. While we were gone all weekend Allie watched Gracie and made sure she was taken care of.
She’s amazing like that.
Allie REALLY LOVES ANIMALS. It’s to an extreme, not gonna lie, but I think it’s really sweet. I wouldn’t have left her with anyone else. Gracie really seems to be loving on Allie in this pic…or not. Once I came to pick her up she got kinda wild and didn’t really want anything to do with anyone but me. Go figure, but thanks again Allie for taking great care of the family dog!

Wedding time!  Everyone was all tense before the wedding, but it was beautiful and went off without a hitch!  I have to admit, as it was all taking place, I felt a bit overwhelmed, but I didn’t cry!  lol
Other than the wedding and all that went with it, the highlight of my day was the last minute decision to NOT PUT ME ON THE FLOOR!  I got to stand on the stairs with everyone else.  I had my picture taken about 100 times, but those are nowhere near ready yet because they were professionally done.  After the wedding we went to the reception, and I snapped this pic of the bride and groom there at their little special table.  I’m not gonna lie, at the end of it all, I was feeling a bit tired and uncomfortable in the tuxedo.  I was really ready to get it off and sleeping all the way home in comfy clothes made me very happy.  It was a great two days.
Congratulations Michael and Terri Smith!

I was going to try and describe this day in one word, but I can’t.  I had school like any other day, but I took the weekend off for my brother’s wedding!  After school we all piled up into the car and headed down to Wake Forest, NC.  Both sides of the family stayed in the same hotel, so we all got to meet each other.  Friday evening was the rehearsal and dinner.  This was my first wedding so I had no idea what was going on.  I thought I was just supposed to be an usher, but I was hoping that my $170 RENTAL tux meant that I would be slightly more important.
Prior to the 14th, I had no idea what a “groomsman” was or even that they existed.  I knew what bridesmaids were and all that good stuff, but hey, I’d never been to a wedding before, so cut me some slack.  Turns out that’s what I was, and I got to stand on the stairs of the altar and look fancy and all of that.  The stairs are kind of narrow, and they put me at the bottom, so I was actually standing on the floor.  THE FLOOR.
Yep, that’s me, the lowliest groomsman.
So this is a picture of me and my brother Michael.  He’s actually my step-brother (in case it wasn’t sorta obvious).  We took this picture at the hotel before leaving for the rehearsal.  He and his wife-to-be Terri were all worked up.  After taking this picture Michael told me my tie was on wrong and proceeded to fix it for me.  Fortunately, the rental tux has a clip-on tie.
